PRODUCT FEATURES AND DETAILS
Tyvek® 500 garments are composed of high-density polyethylene, a unique, non-woven material available only from DuPont. This material offers an ideal balance of protection, durability, and comfort. Tyvek® is permeable to both air and water vapor, yet repels water-based liquids and aerosols, providing an excellent barrier against fine particles and fibers (down to 1 micron in size).
It offers the advantage of durability over microporous film fabrics and offers a better barrier, even after wear and abrasion. Applications include pharmaceutical handling, chemical processing, the oil and gas industry, general maintenance and operations, spray painting and cleaning, among many others.
